Bringing 20+ years of personal training experience, Newt established Morning Bird Studio in 2012, aiming to cultivate a supportive space for clients to thrive physically and mentally. With a warm blend of humor and competitive spirit, he customizes each session to uplift and challenge. Based in Chicago, he enjoys cycling, making music, and coffee on his cozy back porch with his wife, Nicole, and son, Newtie.

Sonia is a trainer and cyclist who believes movement is medicine. After leaving restaurant management and rehabbing her own injury, she found a passion for helping others feel stronger and more connected to their bodies. She works with athletes, busy professionals, and aging adults, focusing on performance, posture, and sustainable movement. Outside the gym, Sonia enjoys cycling, her dogs, and great coffee

KIRSTEN LEFELDT

Kirsten is a competitive Stand-up Paddleboarding Athlete with many podium finishes incl. several international races. Born and raised in Germany she found her passion for fitness 15 years ago and has since worked with clients of all fitness levels. She is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). 

Kirsten believes that in order to stick to a fitness routine you have to find what lights you up and she always has recommendations for outdoor adventures or unique training styles like obstacle course training, all while keeping injury prevention, posture alignment, and science based training at the forefront. 

Erin has been a physical therapist in the Chicago area since 2016 and is the founder of Short Physical Therapy & Performance PLLC. Erin works with athletes and active individuals of all ability levels. Drawing from her background as a former Division One swimmer and Semi Elite Marathon Runner, Erin brings a deep understanding to her clients through the demands of training and challenges of overcoming injury. Erin is a NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist and blends her physical therapy background with strength and conditioning knowledge to build a bridge between rehabilitation and performance.
